Community designApart from filing seperate applications in individual countries, you can apply for a Registered Community Design providing protection in all countries of the European Union. In the event of enlargement of the EU, your design will automatically be protected in new member states as well. A Registered Community Design is valid up to 25 years. In order to keep your design registration in force, you need to renew it every 5 years.
