European patent applications

The application shall be filed with The European Patent Office (EPO) and must indicate in which countries you wish to apply for patent protection. The application will be processed by the EPO and when the patent is granted it becomes seperate patents (is validated) in the countries you designate. European patents can be granted for 36 EPO member states, including Denmark. The London Agreement defines the translation rules in the EPO-countries that have acceeded the agreement.
